Q: What type of material is peerhatch?
A:  We offer two types of material:  Adhesive Back or Type II Plain Back.
Adhesive back material is simply a peel and stick application. The plain back is a type 2, commercial grade wall covering applied with paste like wallpaper.

Q: Is it self-adhesive or do I need paste?
A: The adhesive back comes with adhesive on the vinyl. Simply peel and apply to your surface.  The plain back is a type 2 commercial grade wall covering and will require paste like any other kind of wallpaper.

Q: Is it commercial-grade/fire rated?
A: Yes, both materials are commercial-grade and fire rated.

Q: Does it offer any LEED credit?
A: LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the most widely used green building rating system. If LEED certification is required for your wall covering, please contact us to discuss your options.

Q: Is the material safe to use in highly sensitive environments?
A: Yes, all our products are tested and approved for use in highly sensitive environments such as hospitals.

Q:  What type of files do you accept?
A:  We accept Pixel based images (TIFF, PSD, PSB, high resolution JPG) and vector based graphics (AI, EPS, PDF with editing capabilities enabled). Images should be submitted at 100% final print size and at a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.

Q:  Do you need the files formatted in a specific way?
A:  Images should be submitted at 100% final print size and at a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Please keep in mind that a minimum of 1 inch bleed on either side of the artwork is required. Original Adobe Photoshop files are preferred as we can adjust the image as necessary.

Q:  Can you design custom artwork for me?
A:  Yes, please send your inquiries and ideas to sales@peerhatch.com.  Please include any inspiration images, drawings, sketches, or descriptions of the type of design you are looking for.

Q: Can I request samples of your product to test out?
A:
  Yes, please contact us at sales@peerhatch.com to request a sample. We will send you a sample of the surface with an image printed on it to demonstrate how peerhatch works.  We will send you a sample box which includes a standard printed example, a dry erase pen, and peerhatch case studies.

Q:  What are the next steps after choosing a design?
A:
  1) Once your order is placed on the peerhatch website, we will contact you to confirm the wall measurements and request any necessary artwork.
2) Once the design is approved, we will send you a sample for review. Once the sample is approved the order will begin production.
3) Once production is completed, your order will be shipped to you with installation and maintenance instructions.
The surface must be clean, smooth, dry and uniform in color. The surface must be structurally sound before installation.  Loose paint or wallcovering must be removed. Gouges, nail heads and other surface imperfections must be filled with a drywall compound, sanded smooth and sealed.

Q:  How do I place an order if I don’t want to use the website?
A:
  Please contact us at sales@peerhatch.com to work directly with a sales representative to place your order and submit any necessary artwork or ideas.

Q: What is your typical lead time?
A:  Our current lead time is 5 to 7 days once final approvals are received.

Q:  Will you send someone out to measure my wall?
A:  No, you will need to measure your space and provide us with the dimensions. Please forward a photo of the wall to sales@peerhatch.com for review.

Q:  How do I measure my wall?
A:  Measure the full length of the wall, the height from floor to ceiling, and measure in 3 separate locations (left side, right side, and center).  Your wall may not be the same height from one end to the other, so three separate measurements are critical.

Q:  What type of wall can I install on and what kind of wall prep does it require?
A:  Our product recommends a level 5 surface, 1 coat of primer, and 1 coat of satin finish with 48 hours to dry prior to installation.  The wall surfaces should be free from noticeable defects that may be seen through the finished covered surface.  Please note, if you have painted walls, we warn against installing over high VOC paint as the compounds in the paint can degrade the adhesive on the back of the writable surface.

Q:  How do you install the material?
A:  Please refer to installation instruction included in your package.

Q: Can I use peerhatch outdoors?
A:
  peerhatch is NOT recommended for outdoor use.

Q:  How can I find a professional installer (adhesive back)?

Q:  How can I find a professional installer (Type II plain back)?
A:  We recommend a professional wall covering installer

Q: What type of markers do you recommend for this material?
A:  We recommend Low Odor EXPO ® Pens.

Q:  Do you have any trays or borders I can purchase for my Wall Covering?
A:  We do not sell these products; however, you can purchase them from any online retailer such as Amazon.

Q:  How do you clean and maintain peerhatch?
A: Remove any dry erase markings with a clean microfiber cloth. The surface can be rinsed with 70% rubbing alcohol for a good cleaning.

Q: What happens if we accidentally use permanent marker?
A:
  Permanent marker can quickly be cleaned with 70% rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth.

Q:  What is your warranty?
A:  We offer a 1 year warranty on materials.

Q:  How long is your product guaranteed not to ghost?
A:  We guarantee 5 years of non-ghosting.

peerhatch warrants to the Customer that the Products sold by peerhatch will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of shipment. We also guarantee 5 years of non-ghosting on any product sold. Warranty coverage is subject to the condition that all peerhatch product instructions for installation and upkeep are followed.

All orders are considered custom whether they include any artwork or not. Orders are customized to fit your specific wall size, thus cannot be restocked in our facility. All orders are provided on an “AS IS” and “WITH ALL FAULTS” basis.  We cannot accept any cancellations or returns after your order has been processed.

Please ensure that you examine ALL the peerhatch panels PRIOR to installation.  If you find a defect, DO NOT INSTALL IT. Any defects in the media or ink should be reported to us before installation is attempted.

Q:  How do I pay for your product?
A:  Currently, peerhatch is only accepting credit card payments. Please contact us to discuss other options as necessary.
